Injury Stopped Gourcuff Interest

Injury Stopped Gourcuff Interest

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he was interested in signing Lyon midfielder Youann Gourcuff in the summer, but the fact the player was injured put him off.

Speaking to Eurosport Wenger said.

'I was interested in Gourcuff because he was available. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry. We had to have players performing soon. Unfortunately, we were in doubt because it was not certain if Nasri and Fabregas would leave.'
