Team News: Arsenal vs Sunderland

Normal football resumes for the Gunners today after a couple of weeks to digest yet another loss to our North London rivals.

We`re currently suffering our worst start to a Premier League season ever, a start that contains our heaviest defeat in 120 odd years.

The comfort of today`s game is that we`re playing at home, and against a team who have been as woeful as we have. If a victory is not forth coming I`ll be officially, what`s technically known as, crapping myself about our season.

Here`s how the two teams line up.

Great start, what's happened to Ramsey does anyone know?
bowiecokemirror
Dropped? bad form
ajwb
haha just can't ******** defend properly can we....
Armory
Not much to defend from a freekick like that
ajwb
We seem to be awful at taking set pieces as well as defending from them
bowiecokemirror
That was a needless free kick to give away. If we started closing down and defending as a team we would not be in this pos.
Armory
Where would we be without RVP?
bowiecokemirror
Walcott should have gone off instead of Gervinho, he looks completely disinterested
bowiecokemirror
Walcott is invisible bkm that's why he was not taken off....no one can find him.
Armory
Where is Oxlad

I think the Manager has given too much 'trial' time to Theo. Time to allow him warm the bench for a few games; may just help to bring his spark back (I know there was one). He did little today.

A good 3 pts. There are still lots of shaky moments and a few negatives, but right not, its important to keep grinding out the results for pts. Invaluable. RvP is world class, the best striker in the Premiership. Walcott had a poor game, didnt get involved at all in the entire 1st half! Arshavin looked good in his brief time on the pitch, I really hope he gets back some form. If there is another person who can conjure up goals out of nothing, its him.

Anyone notice Rosicky doing that fkin thing again from free kicks where he just doesn't turn around? Thought it was a one off at OT but obviously not.
shewore
I noticed that again shewore, he just walks away without seeing the outcome of the free kick. I don’t know why he does it but it certainly can’t be beneficial because he’s not in a position to react if the ball doesn’t go in. It’s interesting that both times a goal has been conceded so maybe he has a sixth sense about these things. I would like him to explain just what exactly the reason is and enlighten us because at the moment his actions are just plain negligent.
Sir Henry
