Big Sam Interested In Almunia Extension

Sam Allardyce has said that he would be interested in extending the emergency loan spell of Manual Almunia.

Speaking to Talksport the West Ham manager said.

'We can extend it depending on how the situation with Robert lies in terms of his injury. There is always the possibility that Arsenal run into a bit of a goalkeeping crisis and there is an emergency call back even this month.'

With Almunia out on loan until the end of October, and Rob Green out for around 6 weeks, you'd think it likely that the extra month would be taken up.

Aslong as Manuel gets regular games and is treate dwith respect West Ham are wwelcome to him. He may not be remembered too fondly by the "instant success" brigade, but atleast he was a professional, dignified member of our squad who never caused trouble. Better attitudes like his than greedy *****s like Nasri and Adebayor.

good experience for him if he can't break into the first team.
The Fear
I wouldn't have caused trouble either if i was that pony and taking home 50k a week.

I seriously doubt Almunia is on £50k per week mate. I know Wenger has some bloody stupid ideas about wage structure parity (we end up with Diaby earning more than players like Modric) but there is surely not a coach on earth who would of been allowed to offer Almunia a wage packet of that amount? If true, whomever authorised that needs to be sacked without question for gross incompetence.
LondonGooner
Well he was indisputed first choice at a CL side for a couple of seasons LG, i'd put a lot of money on him being on that or thereabouts.
shewore
Hmmm possibly. Though I suppose we DID give Diaby £60k per week and he's done less than Almunia.....
