'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Confidence Is Key To Our Performance

Arsene Wenger has said that he believes our performances will soon start to match the results, and our free flowing style of football will be back to its best.

Speaking to arsenal.com the boss said that he thinks we will start to dominate games again very shortly.

'The spirit is there, the attitude is there, the quality of commitment is there, the possession is there - even in Marseille we had a lot. We have some room for improvement in the final third, and that will come with confidence. It is our target, that is what we want to achieve.'

It's certainly what Wenger is looking for on Sunday when we host Stoke.

'On Sunday we want to especially continue the quality of our game - the result will be the consequence of that. Let's focus on defending well again and playing our football. What is important is that we have a consistent focus and then we will come back. It is just down to us.'

With so managers usually blaming everything and everybody else, it's nice to see Wenger admitting that it is in our own hands and that only we can change our own fortunes here.

That said, five wins in our last six matches in all competitions is a good start.
