Wenger Names Squad For Holland Trip

Arsene Wenger has named his 18-man squad that travelled to Holland for the last 16 tie of the Champions league.

The good news is that Gallas has suffered no setback after his return against Blackburn at the weekend, the bad news is that there is no recognised right-back in the squad.

However, all 4 centre backs named can play there. Kolo Toure played there as his Arsenal career took off, Johan Djourou has played there several times, Big Phill Senderos started out as a right back and Billy Gallas played there for the s**t team in Fulham before he moved to the red side.

Squad in full:

1 Jens Lehmann (GK)
4 Cesc Fabregas
5 Kolo Toure
6 Philippe Senderos
7 Tomas Rosicky
8 Fredrik Llungberg
9 Julio Baptista
10 William Gallas
13 Alexander Hleb
14 Thierry Henry (C)
15 Denilson
16 Mathieu Flamini
19 Gilberto
20 Johan Djourou
22 Gael Clichy
24 Manuel Almunia (GK)
25 Emmanuel Adebayor
30 Jeremie Aliadiere

no walcott no hoyte, saving them for the CC final on sunday? we are only 2 short of our strongest side, taking into account hleb and gallas are coming back from injuries, its only Eboue and RVP we are missing from our strongest 11

Apparently PSV have a bit of a problem at left-back, so we shouldn't get too much traffic onto our right side - or they will be exposed for us to finish them off. Let's hope this is true...

Le Boss has proved once again why he is such a genius. with eboue injured, playing hoyte away in the champions league could leave the defence a little lightweight. djourou gives us a good physical presence and has done well whenever he's played at right back. din think wenger is saying hoyte for the Carling Cup, he's selected the best side keeping in mind our opponents and the competition. Le Boss you're simply a legend..

Hleb is playing Iceman. i think he'll go with a 4-5-1 with either Freddie or Rosicky as the second striker..

Good to see Hleb back in the squad. I'd really like to see Denilson get on the pitch at some point. For me he has been this seasons major surprise. Lets just hope that tomorrow is where Henry starts to play football again!!!
