Wenger Not Ruling Out Top 4 Or Title Challenge

Arsene Wenger has said he is refusing to give up hope of a title or Top 4 challenge this season, because if he gave up after 9 games he would be in the wrong job.

Speaking to Sky Sports Wenger knows he has a battle on his hands, but he wants the team to believe in themselves and fight to get back into a position we can challenge from.

'Of course at the moment we are far from Manchester City, so today we have to get back to a shorter distance before we can say we will fight for the title. What is important for us is to get back in a fighting position closer to the top. Who would right off the title after nine games? People who do that have nothing to do in this job if you don't believe you have a chance. But we have to be realistic.'

A top four challenge certainly seems to be within grasp, but it's not going to be easy. Spurs and Liverpool are our main rivals nowadays and it'll be tough to get that 4th spot. We haven't won the title in 7 years, there's no way we're going to win it this year.

If we get all 3 pts tomorrow then a good chance for 4th, otherwise a very long shot. Don't forget Newcastle is still undefeated.

Arsene is doing his job by urging on his team to their best in every game and to believe that the title is within grasp. He knows the title is out of the question but its better to keep spirits high within the squad than take the defeatist attitude of Sajit above.

I take it that's another attempt at an anti-jinx Sajit? if not, cheer the f up man. We're doing alright now, getting on a role.

Loving the anti-jinx. keep Going up Gooners! we play man city 3 times this season (so far) thanks to the 'luck' of the draw. can't wait to be "brought back down to earth" by another 'big' (wallet) club. GUNNERS!
