Song: Gervinho Settling In Well

Song: Gervinho Settling In Well

Alex Song, once booed by his own fan, knows exactly what it takes to settle into life in England, and after a long time, is finally making his mark in the Premier League for Arsenal.

Song signed for the Gunners from French side, Bastia many years ago, and is now experiencing relative success as Arsenal`s first choice holding midfielder, so he`s got a little knowledge of what it`s like be be an African player joining Arsenal from a French team.

The Cameroonian says that another player following a distinctily familiar path, allbeit in an entirely different role at the club, Gervinho, is adpating to life brilliantly after only a couple of months.

Speaking in our official match day program, Song said, "I watch a lot of the French league at home so I knew when Gervinho arrived that he was a very good player I`m not surprised to see him doing well here and I think there`s more to come. It`s not easy to come to the English league, it`s harder and stronger, but he`s getting used to it and I`m really happy to see him making a difference in games."

'Gervinho is a very quiet guy, not one who talks too much, but I think it`s normal that you look and listen when you arrive somewhere before saying a lot. I think he`s now coming out of himself and you can see it on the pitch too.'

Gervinho, or "The Forehead" as I like to refer to him (In a completely playfull and affectionate way of course) had a rocky start to his life as a Gooner after getting sent off on his debut at St James` Park. Of course it was for slapping Joey Barton up the side of the head so it did go someway to endearing himself to the Arsenal fans a whole lot more.

Cracking player - he's got the balls to constantly take players on, and the skills to beat them as well. Also, lol @the lack of plural, makes it look like Songs one fan started to boo him! :)

Oopps - Lol - I could change it, but that's kinda funny. Plus then you'd look odd, so I'll leave it.
