The term "legend" is bandied around all to often in football, but in Thierry Henry, we have a certified, stick on, no question about it, all the way, no denying it, without a doubt, bonafied, in our history forever, 100% … legend.
Another Arsenal legend? Arsene Wenger.
Whether you think he`s still the right man for the job or not, Wenger has changed our club forever, in a positive way. He`s changed our style and they way we`re run without compromising our ethics or traditions. His legacy will live on long after he`s gone, hell, it`ll live on long after I`m gone, and I`m just a young chap dontcha know!
However the last few years have been a difficult time by our own high standards (there`s about 86 other clubs who would kill to be in our position, just to put it into some perspective), and many, including myself, have questioned whether it`s time to bring Arsene Wenger`s reign to an end as we`ve failed to win something for six consecutive seasons.
Thierry Henry however is backing his former mentor all the way, and hopes we can put an end to the drought.
'The day he stops, quite a lot of people will realise what he's done for the club, It's always easy to criticise but can you find better than Wenger?" enquired the Frenchman
'It hasn't been easy for Arsene. I hope with all my heart that we'll win a trophy."
'The two Manchester clubs will make it difficult but, once again, let's not forget what Arsene has done for Arsenal. It's always easy to judge on the spur of the moment in football, that's the way it is.'
And that`s it, we`re always quick to judge. We`re all guilty of it. Quick to judge Wenger when it was going bad, hell, we`ve been quick to judge the situation now we appear to have turned the corner. It`s not just a case of going over board in the hard times, we do it in the good times too.
We`re not out of the woods yet, I still see many problems in the side, but can we honestly find someone who is better for the club than Wenger?
I`ll leave it for you lot to decide in the comments section.
