Wenger Appreciative Of International Switches

Arsene Wenger has said that the decision to play international games on a Friday and Tuesday make preparing for the next club game far easier.

Speaking to arsenal.com he believes that the switch giving an extra day to players has been a big help compared to the usual practice of Saturday and Wednesday games.

'It's much better now the games have moved to Friday and Tuesday. Those 24 hours make a huge difference, especially when you have players who play in South America or in Asia.'

The extra day Wenger says allows the players to recover slightly better, and then of course when the next club fixture is on a Sunday, it helps even more.

Wenger still believes positive changes can still occur, but...

'It's better, it's not perfect but it's better than before.'
