'If It's Football, It's Vital'

This Is The Club Of My Life

Following reports in French newspapers over the weekend, Arsene Wenger has expressed his commitment to Arsenal again.

Speaking to arsenal.com following an interview he did where there were some comments made about his future, Wenger moved to clarify the situation.

'I just wanted to say that this is the club of my life. I have a contract that I will honour and the only way I would one day consider leaving, is if I feel I have not done well enough for the club. There is no mixed message, my commitment and love for this club is total.'

We are a one man team. That MAN is Arsene Wenger.

Arsene knows (welll maybe not defensalistically at times) but I could not imagine life without him! The last two months he has done a great job in reshaping the team (with a little help from RVP).

He's certainly the manager of my life.

However the story unfolds, I love the man and EVERYTHING he has done for Arsenal Football Club. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to follow Arsenal during this fantastic "era" and I have hopes Le Boss can still write the ending he deserves, not the one the spiteful press have been hoping for.

He's done nothing but use and abuse your club. He's dined out on past success in order to mask present failure. He's a total creep. Good riddance to bad rubbish. His time is over. And so is yours. COYS!

The full transcript of AW's interview with L'Equipe is available on Arseblog News and many things are apparent after reading that. The reporting in the English press was highly selective and mistranslated which led to a spurious interpretation of AW's interview. Whether one agrees with Arsene or does not, he has led this club with enough ability and grace to atleast be afforded respect and time. Manager's like him are rare and I savour every year we have had him as our manager.

How about a comment jalle and others who thought this wonderful manager time was up. The baying has gone for his end have faded. How lucky lucky lucky Arsenal have been to have the Boss as our manager. .
