Wenger Pleased With Convincing Display

Arsene Wenger has described today's 4-0 win over Wigan as an outstanding and collective performance. Who would disagree?

Speaking to Sky Sports he said.

'Maybe they started a bit stronger, but we took control of the game and had an outstanding, mature, collective performance and overall, we controlled the game. I must praise the players. They have a fantastic mentality, good concentration, good focus and good motivation, they are intelligent.'

Wenger isn't resting on his laurels though, as he adds that the team still has room for improvement and he expects to see us improve further as more games go by.

Good weekend for all though following the cup disappointment.

I must say, by far that was one of the most composed displays from the lads. We controlled the game to almost a walking pace for the most of the 90 mins and sent 4 past their goalie. On a ground where we haven't had much success in recent seasons. Well done lads!

Great team performance; we look the form team of the league at the moment and should take confidence from this result and performance.
