Motivation Wasn't An Issue

Arsene Wenger has defended the players following the Olympiacos game by saying a lack of motivation had nothing to do with our loss.

Speaking to arsenal.com after the 3-1 loss, Arsene said.

'I didn't feel as though we lacked motivation, I just felt we missed some early chances that made it a very physical game. Overall I believe it was a good learning process for the younger players because it was a real battle.'

Wenger does add that maybe the midfield lacked a bit of experience for that type of game, but again it's something that the youngsters will learn from.
