Nevertheless, justice was served after the governing body transfer a yellow card from Thomas Vermaelen to fellow Gunners defender, Laurent Koscielny, after the Belgian was booked for a tackle his mate commit.

Another bad decision in a gargantuan line of bad decisions in the top flight this season saw Vermaelen wrongly identified as the perpetrator.

The FA today announced they`d transferred the card on their official website.

A caution for a foul tackle given to Arsenal`s Thomas Vermaelen during his side`s fixture against Queens Park Rangers on 31 December 2011 has been transferred to his Arsenal teammate Laurent Koscielny.

This follows The FA exercising its right to request an Independent Regulatory Commission to review a case of mistaken identity.
