v. Persie Back Sooner Than Expected?

The intial news that van Persie had broken his foot scoring that all important goal against Man Utd made us all think Rob's season was all but over.

Well we might have been wrong.

Whilst Arsene Wenger doesn't want to rush anything and will make sure RvP is fully fit before returning him to the battle field, he also believes it could be a mere 5-7 weeks before the hitman returns.

"At the start we counted large," he said. "We thought 12 to 14 weeks and were hoping for a good surprise. Maybe eight to 10 weeks. It was three weeks on Friday so we are counting nine weeks more. But we hope it will be five, six or seven."

Even though Robin has already been out for a while, he still remains the top scorer for Arsenal this season in the league.

Get well soon dude.

Champions league final RVP Free kick winner....Would you believe it!?

No doubt we've missed the lad big time, although '07 results wise has been pretty good, If RVP had been in the squad we would'nt be facing all these tiresome replays, his finishing is still a cut above Ade and Beastie.

and all you need to do is pass him the ball somewhere outside the box, he will either pound it in like at charlton or take it into the box, burn 2 defenders with his fake cross, cut back, shot, GOAL that he loves so much, RVP makes goals for himself out of nothing - i cant wait to have this guy back

i'll go even as far as saying that in some situations.. i find that he is a much better dribbler then ronaldo at times.. especially when he is playing on that right hand side.. and yeah.. combined with the lethal left foot that he possesses.. he is an asset to any big team.. hope he's back asap..

My favourite Arsenal player. Hope he gets back as good as before, if this doesn't hinder his develeopment too much we could have a world's best player on our hands one day. I'm serious, i think he's better than Torres, Ibrahimovich .e.t.c. - With RvP healthy The Arsenal dont need to invest in any more strikers. Plus he loves the club, in interviews its plain to see that he's Arsenal through and through!

God after the PSV performance i say we need him back badly. But looks like he wont be back in time for the return leg.
AB_Arsenal
He seems to be our most natural goalscorer (our only?) If we had somebody who's as clinical as RVP in the side against PSV, it might have been a different story... I can't believe he's still top scorer - what's up, Thierry???
