'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Emmanuel Frimponged

Emmanuel Frimpong has been taken to hospital with an eye injury after being struck by Stiliyan Petrov during the Wolves/Villa game.

The 20 year old could possibly be out for 3 months if he has a broken cheekbone following the incident which occurred as he was attempting a diving header. The midfielder needed extensive treatment when he was stretchered off in the second half, with 8 minutes injury time being played.

A statement on the Wolves website allayed initial speculation that he had possibly broken his neck.

'An initial examination revealed no head or spinal problems. However, he has a severe swelling around his eye and will need further examination to discover the extent of the problem.'

After returning to the Molineux after the initial examination Frimpong told reporters.

'I can't remember too much about it to be honest. I remember heading the ball and, from what I heard, I then got a kick in the face. We'll just have to give it a couple of days and wait for it to settle down.'

I do hope it's nothing trivial, what you call a taste of your own medicine, what goes around comes around, Fringpong goes out of his way to injure players, so he deserve everything he gets. To554

Lord loves a tryer yidedy, by the law of averages you just have to stumble upon something remotely witty or interesting to say some day. It's just not today, that much is patently clear.

Tell us just which players Frimpong has injured YE.

Thanks for that Yid********Edy... Hope Bale and Modric break each others legs. ***** off now.

Genuinely can't believe that YidE! Honestly I can't! Not one player has Manny injured. He showed great 'English' spirit to go for that ball and was very unlucky to come out of it like that. I can only think people joke that they hope a player gets injured because that player is so good and pose a genuine treat to their own teams ambitions. Tell me YidE: Are you and Wolves battling it out for a top three place? You are a disgusting specimen of an animal.

Rocky it wern't injury it was intent, we could have had two players out for months.

If a player 'goes out of his way to injure players', do you not think at least some of those players would get injured? Or is Frimpong so inept a thug that he still hasn't managed to achieve his priority number one? Have you ever played a game of football? It is very easy to hurt a player if you want. Just ask Roy Keane, Vinnie Jones or watch the elbows of Fellaini or Roney. Going in strong or intimidating a player with you presents, WITHOUT injuring anyone, is a great attribute, just ask Scott Parker. Add that to the fact he has only just turned 20 and stands at 5' 9" and some credit, respect and a little humanity is really due.
