'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RVP Praises Youngsters

Robin van Persie knows against Man U the result wasn't what everybody wanted, but he's taken the time to praise the performances of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Yennaris.

Speaking to arsenal.com the front man said both youngsters should feel proud of their performances despite the result.

'Alex can be proud of giving a performance like that on his first Premier League start. He moved nicely, worked hard and did good things on the ball. He can look back at a good game of football and we were all really pleased for him.'

As for Nico Yennaris, he added.

'I've seen him improve his game massively of late, even over the last couple of weeks. What I like about him is he always looks forward. On top of that, you could see that Nani became less dangerous in the second half and Nico played a big part in that. Like Alex, he can be proud of himself.'
