Cup Thriller Was For The Fans

Theo Walcott has said our Cup comeback against Aston Villa was for the fans, and even admitted it was slightly overdue.

Speaking to arsenal.com after the match, Walcott said.

'That was for the fans, they have waited a long time for a great result and we gave them that. We wanted to do it for them in the second half because we weren't good enough.'

As for his own form of late, he knows he hasn't been good enough by his own standards, let alone anyone elses, and he's determined to get back to his level.

'I just want to play my game and show people what I can do. I am the best judge of my performance. I wasn't happy with my last few games but hopefully now I can try to get back to a level I should be at.'
