Team News: Sunderland vs Arsenal

As Liverpool drop points at Old Trafford it leaves to Gunners with an opportunity to put some daylight between ourselves and the Mickeys as we take on Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain keeps his place as the three pronged attack of Walcott, van Persie and The Ox hopes to carry on where it left off last week.

Theirry Henry is on the bench for what surely is his last ever league game for Arsenal.

Must say the pitch does look heavy which will not allow for free flowing play. A tricky game ahead.

We have to be patient and clinical when the chances do come......and we must keep Sessegnon and McClean quiet. We will be good, I feel.

Sunderland has made life difficult, defending deep and restricting us to hopeful balls, over the top. We have to remain patient and hope they will be a little more adventurous to open things up. A scrappy first half with Arsenal in control. Ref had to make a decision when the ball hit Mertersaker's hand in d box. Correct decision, it would seem.

Fairytale stuff. Credit to Arshavin as well.

With Chelse and Liverpool losing, it was a good weekend.
