'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Gunners must keep Van Persie at the Emirates

After three seasons of selling top players and in the wake of declaring huge profits, talkSPORT presenter Jonny Gould argues that Robin Van Persie needs to stay and not just for the obvious football reasons.

Samir Nasri we love you .... I hope you will join me in wishing he wins a Premiership winners medal and that van Persie wins one with Man City next season.

Man city is the lazy fat rich kid at school who pays everybody to do his homework......if I can't beat them then I will buy them. You can win the next 10 titles but you will never be held in the same esteem as man utd, Liverpool or arsenal. I don't know if rvp will be at arsenal next season, but I do know one thing.......he will definitely not be at citeh. Rvp does not fit the bill as a modern man citeh player.......he has integrity and plays for the club he loves. Now jog on fat kid.

Gunnerman76 .... green with envy hardly begins to explain your attitude ........ I am really pleased for you that you might well finish third ....... no need for any bile just a good feeling for your team and their Chmpions League qualification.

Shows your knowledge of our football club and our supporters to gloat that we are just envious of your position. Arsene wenger has installed a philosophy at arsenal that I am very proud to be a part of and you are the complete opposite that! Man city is everything that is bad about football today, along with macahabakfjsb....psg and Chelsea to an extent. The day that players come to arsenal just to pick up a pay check will be a very sad day in my opinion. Players that come to our club want to play for the manager, want to be part of the history and wear the red and white, the ones that don't go to city....I watched the interview with Noel Gallagher and balotelli, the part when he asked balotelli what he knew of the club when he signed....fu(k all!!....kind of sums your club up. City will never have a neutral fan base because of this, they will never have opposing fans standing up giving balotelli standing ovations like Henry did. THAT is priceless. If I have any envy for anybody it will be with Manchester utd........ferguson has built team after team from the ground up, this is probably his worse team in years yet they are still at the top. I may not like ferguson or utd......but I respect them, which is more then I can say for you lot. Your arrogance Blinds you......for the sake of football not losing its soul, I hope Manchester utd win the league this year. To think I used to cheer city on when they were playing utd.......but then that was when you were a real team with likable fans......who said money is the root of all evil.
