The Ox & van Persie Nominated For Awards

Arsenal duo Robin van Persie and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been nominated for the PFA player of the year and the PFA young player of the year awards respectively.

Whilst the former must be a sure thing to win his award, the latter is more of a recognition of the promising start to his Arsenal career rather than a bona fide contender for the award considering Sergio Augero is nominated for both categories.

It is, however, great to see other people outside the club acknowledging The Ox`s very exciting talents.

In a sane world RVP would walk it.

If it goes to anyone other than RvP.......

After watching Ronaldinho walk away with Thierry Henry's world player of the year award a few years ago, I'd say anyone could win it. Seeing as this one is voted for by players I wouldn't be surprised to see all the English players vote for Rooney.

Van Persie has definitely got to win player of the year. Chamberlain on the other hand I don't feel has played enough games and as a result hasn't been able to make as significant an impact as the other nominees for young player of the year. Then again, I think U21's should only be nominated for young player of the year.
