Oh dear that picture is so dreadfully ugly! COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!
GoonerLou
FFS - I f***in hate Stoke. Come Arsene, whip the boys into shape and turn this around. Do whatever it takes to beat these orcs.
Rocky7
Yes! Right back at them! RVP!!
Rocky7
Rocky, what Vela have you listed on our sub bench?
Naijagunner
Newcastle 2-0 at Wigan already. Martinez is a legend.
Rocky7
You know what, I just hurriedly copied that from the BBC site, I didn't even notice. Lol
Rocky7
Hehehe! That would be Santos then.
Naijagunner
Fixed. Sorry about that.
Rocky7
The way you posted that Newcastle v Wigan info, Rocky, I only summoned the courage to take peek at what's changed. It is Wigan 2: 0 Magpies. And I thought the Martinez comment was just cynicism. Whew!
Naijagunner
It's 3-0 now at the DW. The way our game is going, you just get the feeling our boys are playing Stoke with too much respect or apprehension. If we can be a little bit more sure footed, we could go on a scoring spree. Ramsey should look out for and pick the runs of the forward men instead of passing backwards. Gervinho has to relax on the ball and quit being hesitant. We can get the win, in my opinion.
Naijagunner
4-0. Hahaha!
Naijagunner
Oopss - my bad again. Some shock attention to detail by myself today.
Rocky7
Hey! That's understandable man. Just saw the Wigan goals; all beauties you would expect from teams in the top half not a team fighting for its prem life. Commendable stuff.

Just a toe poke would have done it, Benny, just a toe poke!
Naijagunner
Why do we never get obvious penalties anymore? Its a disgrace.
Wyn Mills
While it is true the Brittania is a difficult ground to come to, we should be winning this game; we just lacked someone to take responsibility for that. Oxlade-Chamberlain should have been able to unlock the Stoke defense. Just think if Newcastle had won today! We should be doing better than 1 point here.
Naijagunner
Chris Foy has allowed the Stoke defense get away with all manner of infringements today. That was a penalty on Benny and Shawcross did block a goal bound Vermaelen shot with his hands.
Naijagunner
When you see the soft pens Utd are awarded it makes you wonder what the feck is going on.
Wyn Mills
Disagree that that was a pen. I want our players to stay on their feet and get a shot off. He went down far too easily and I hope he gets a bollocking for it.
No 10
Also i didn't understand the tactic of bringing on hight in Diaby and Chamakh and not putting ball into the box for them....not that Chamakh would look to get on the end of any of them.
No 10
I would've like to have seen Ox come on for Gervinho at about 60. He just seemed to be out of ideas today...and his finishing!!!
No 10
To me Whelan has his right arm high and it seems to connect with Benny's head or shoulder causing him to lose balance. It looks soft but I've seen more outright cheating than that this season. The Shawcross handball also stopped a certain goal.
Wyn Mills
Our performance in the second half was not upto par espcially in the final third. Fighting point nevertheless. A win is quite desperately needed in the next game to cement our position. Newcastle have slipped up and have a tough run in, lets hope for the best.
Deltaforce
Chris Foy gave 10 fouls against us and only 4 to Stoke. Says it all. He failed to see the Shawcross handball even though only a few yards away. Whitehead committed atleast two more yellow card offences after his first one on 3 minutes. An error prone and incompetent display from the ref.
Deltaforce
Also, very classy of Stoke fans to boo Ramsey. Breaking his leg against Shawcross's boot was such a grave offence that Stoke fans haven't forgiven him.
Deltaforce
No 10, Benny had no chance to stay on his feet. We give rival teams more slack than we allow our own; another ref and we'll get the decision without controversy.
Naijagunner
I only saw the 1st half but I was quite encouraged by it, good performance, created decent chances and Gervinho could have put us ahead if he had extended his head another inch. I see this as a point gained at Stoke since the Newcastle defeat has given us some breathing space. However, this team must win the next 2 games and guarantee 3rd place, any more draws will prove costly.

the bottlers are at it again ! and long may it continue
Blue_Mel
Oh look. Chelsea fluke through to a CL final an back comes the arrogance. I'd check your league position versus the amount of money your players cost before opening your trap. It's still a massive possibility your lot will be in the Europa League next season, or funnier still, not in Europe at all.

With regards to the pen, I've only seen footage from quite a distance, it did look soft, but also that there could have been a tangling of legs. I'm not convinced either way so I'm not going to worry about it. Decent point seeing as Newcastle lost.
Rocky7
All in all a hard well fought point. I thought we handled Stoke's 'physicality' fairly well. On a better day the chances would have gone in. The team were clearly up for it though. The neanderthals almost nicked it with their basketball player, which would have been a travesty.
Wyn Mills
I thought the team played well today. We could have buried them if the finishing was better (or in the case of Ramsey and Gervinho, the shooting). We weren't bullied at the Britannia for a change, and consistently took the ball off them. I thought the Benayoun penalty shout was a soft one, but the Shawcross handball inches outside the box was as blatant as can be- Foy is a poor ref. But no complaints, that single point might make all the difference between third and fourth given our superior GD compared to the pretenders.
elbondo
Booing Ramsey was the icing on the cake.
Sajit
Wonder what chavs score at stoke was? Oh the irony
Sajit
The sooner SToke are relegated and back where they belong the better.. Fans, manger and playing style are a disgrace... Joke club.
Dan_83
Rosicky was brilliant yesterday. The tricky little maestro we originally bought is back, big time.
Wyn Mills
Blue Melvyn lol, wondered where that old timer had been hiding out! We hate your scummy little club and it's odious captain Melvyn, 5th and a battering in the final for you will suit us just fine.
