Arsenal To Open Store In Brent Cross

In their bid to expand their commercial revenues, Arsenal are all set to open an Arsenal merchandise store in Brent Cross shopping centre Northwest London. Brent Cross is one of London`s oldest retail centres and has the largest income per unit area of retail space in the UK.

The club have managed to snafoo a 2,270 square foot space on the first floor of the shopping centre. The club discretely revealed this on the back of the leaflet sent out to members to announce the launch of the new home strip. But the official website is now carrying a fuller confirmation. The store will sell Arsenal replica kits and leisure wear and will also host Q & A sessions and promotional events with Arsenal players on occasion.

Arsenal Retail Director Nick Peel, said: "The Brent Cross development is an exciting addition to our retail arm and further evidence of the Club expanding and investing. The new store will help the Club to engage with supporters from a wider area and reduce our reliance on supporters visiting shops on a match day. Our aim is to create a destination which is fresh and innovative and which fans will find appealing. "

I think that loosely translates as "give us yer dosh!"

not happy about this

Why is that, Guyver?

Such initiatives should be considered even for locations outside the UK, where the fan base makes it worthwhile.

"Let's not forget we bought Podolski already, and that another way for us to strengthen is to get [Jack] Wilshere and [Abou] Diaby back, neither of whom played at all the whole season. And so you look at the number of players: we have 34 players when they all come back. That means you have to pay nine not to play.". Why do i get a sense of deja vu about Wenger's latest comments on strengthening the squad? Is he really serious about Diaby? Never mind. At least we can bolster the club's already bulging coffers by buying a few more branded mugs.
Wyn Mills
Simple fact that we absolutely have to shift some players due to squad restrictions. Paying a lot of players who are literally not allowed to play would be stupid. I thought most were agreed that if we shift the deadwood and pepper with 2-3 quality players we'd be ok. Which is essentially what he's proposing.

Opening day clearance sale?
Wyn Mills
Talking of clearance sales, I'd wager this item will rapidly grace the racks nearest the door. Obviously none of the designers at Nike have ever read the Beano. RvP looks particularly p!ssed off. Photobucket
