'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Come On You #@%*ing Gunners!!

I usually try to write something pertinent in bold at the beginning of each article, but today I`ve got nothing.

Each time I try and write something relevant to the team selection or game, I feel sick, but this is what we, as football fans live for (maybe we`d prefer to be feeling this as we battled for a trophy, but the butterflies are still the same).

So I`m just going to give you the teams and then assume the prayer position.

Good luck Gooners!

COYG!!!!!!!!!
Goofle11
Let's do this *****
gunnerkid107
Not ideal to introduce two new faces in the defense, but feel assured, all the same. COYG!
Naijagunner
For Arsenal and St Totteringham!
NADH-91
...Also, feel at ease that Odemwingie isn't starting for WBA today. The boy seems to have it in for us; like he has something to prove against us. Maybe, we should have turned up with the players bearing flowers for Roy Hodgson to temper the crowd.....
Naijagunner
YOSSI right away!!!
NADH-91
YOOSSSSSSSIIIIII!! Immedaitely responding to Spurs early goal!
Rocky7
Could Yossi be the one to break Spurs hearts for the second time in his career? F***ing hoper so.
Rocky7
For f*** sake. This is going to be a long day.
Rocky7
GET A F***ING GRIP
Rocky7
Oh dear lord, do we not learn anything. Top sides don't concede goals this readily.
Gooner_Vin
The fact is you don't even have to try the hard to score against us
Gooner_Vin
I'm sorry I have to agree with you Vin. Very sorry indeed :(
Rocky7
They score when they want, they score when they waaaaaaants, anyone playing Arse-a-nal, they score when they want.
Rocky7
Talk about deja vu, what are Arsenal doing out there?
NADH-91
Brazilian manic!
Naijagunner
ANDRE!!!!!!
NADH-91
SSAAAANNNNNNTTTOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS!!!
Rocky7
Magic! Is what that was to say.
Naijagunner
I shouldn't have eaten my Sunday roast just before kick-off .... it's going to come back up sooner or later.
Rocky7
Manic is an adequate word for our match.
Rocky7
Funny. Benny seems to be up for this. Fighting more than any other player in red and white.
Naijagunner
Ref seemed to enjoy issuing that card to the PFA player of the year. His time in the sun.
Naijagunner
Ref joining in the fun. He was a DM there, for WBA.
Naijagunner
Come on you ********s, score three quick goals and stop this hideous feeling in my stomach.
Rocky7
Hahaha! Rocky. Just saw your retort. And I have to say I agree with you. Makes you wonder how our team gets prepared for big occasions like today.
Naijagunner
Worst linesman I have seen.
Goofle11
HT. game is there for the taking, just need to keep it tight defensively. This is not a very good west brom side at all, but our lack of composure is causing us problems
Gooner_Vin
Come on, we have to win this!!! We need to get a quick goal after half time, in fact 2 would be great, seeing how we are allergic to a one-goal lead in the last couple weeks. Van Persie, now would be a good time to break the PL goal-scoring-in-a-single-season record thank you very much!!!
NADH-91
This is sickening ... God knows how the fans at the ground are feeling. We've got to win this ... come on, stop f***ing about.
Rocky7
I think the changes made to the defensive personnel had a hand in the apparent shaky defending. That's not to take anything away from the contributions of the two full backs. Song has left the DM role fully to Coquelin. Not such a bad thing if he didn't get bundled off the ball so easily and leaving the kid under pressure. We need to sort things out quickly and get some quick goals in succession to put this to bed.
Naijagunner
Ok, fresh slate, 45 minutes to make this season acceptable. I want my St Totterinham's day mother f***ers!
Rocky7
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
Rocky7
KOSCIELNY!!!!
NADH-91
Do not f*** this up. Do not f*** this up. Do not f*** this up.
Rocky7
Joey Barton needs kicking out of football. F***ing scum bag.
Rocky7
Gervinho has to improve on his awareness of those making runs around him, for Pete's sake.
Naijagunner
Here comes the siege, just break away fast and get the finisher!
NADH-91
I'm going to be sick, I'm going to be siiiicccckkkkk, I ******** hate football, I'm going to be sick.
Rocky7
Not as sick as Man City fans though ... lol
Rocky7
Gibbs for Gervinho is about right, so long as we don't have any serious injuries late on.
Naijagunner
Yes, definately a decent change.
Rocky7
I cant fu(king watch this...
gunnerman76
We need another goal ... forthe sake of my heart please score it soon.
Rocky7
This is unbearable.
Rocky7
WHAT A TACKLE GIBBO!!!!
NADH-91
They've scored a 3rd, given offside!!
NADH-91
YES!!!!! 3rd place!! HAPPY ST TOTTERINGHAM'S DAY!!!!!
NADH-91
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
gunnerman76
Man City have come back to win the title 3-2, Aguero scoring 2 goals in the last minute...Insane day of football!
NADH-91
BOSSCIELNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goofle11
HAPPY ST TOTTERINGHAM'S DAY EVERYONE :)))) I knew how AW felt during those last 20 mins. It was incredibly nerve wracking. Hard luck Spuds, maybe next season ;-)
bowiecokemirror
IT'S OVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH What a game, full of match defining moments, The most impressive for me was the last second challenge by Gibbs. That was a certain goal. And what a goal by Kos
Gunnerfan1987
What an end to the season. Two late goals to give it to City when United fans had brought out the glasses. Arsenal playing a game they don't know how to play: defending to hold a lead. Incredible but enjoyable stuff. Kudos to the EPL for giving the world such exciting moments.
Naijagunner
Between City and Utd I wanted Utd to win the league. But they lost out only on goal difference. Must be the first time.
Gunnerfan1987
Same here, prefer United to have won it. I don't like it when teams buy trophies like Chelsea and City. Still doesn't matter, we finished above the sorry Spuds again, even in our worst season for ages (",)
bowiecokemirror
What a ******** relief. Couldn't have done this the easy way lads?
prits
But what a game. Once it got 2-1 I thought we might finish even 5th depending on other games. Now I'm kinda torn? Do you want Chelsea to win against Bayern so the Spuds don't get CL> That appeals to me on one level, but on the other I want Arsenal to be the first London team to win the CL
Gunnerfan1987
Hopefully the guaranteed CL place means we can get our signings done a bit earlier this summer. This squad needs massive improvement for us to compete again next season. AW seemed to be going through the same mental torment as the fans during the final 20 minutes. That should be enough motivation for him to improve our squad and make sure we can do much better next season so we're not in such a nail biting position again.
bowiecokemirror
But Wenger said there wont be too many transfers. Besides we have to offload a lot of players to meet the squad limit numbers if we buy.
Gunnerfan1987
Gunnerfan ... did you just suggest this is the first time the league has been decided on goal difference?
Rocky7
I'd prefer Bayern to win because as you say, Arsenal should be the first London team to lift the trophy. It would be funny seeing the spuds lose their CL place tho. I don't really care as long as we sign some quality players and get rid of the rubbish ones over the summer.
bowiecokemirror
I think there are a lot of players that are going to leave over the summer..Denilson, Vela, Squillachi, Bendtner, Arshavin etc. AW always underplays the need for new players understandably. It's best to keep your cards close to your chest until any deal is finalised.
bowiecokemirror
OFF TO BUY SOME BEER AND TING!
Goofle11
Rocky, I was just going make the same enquiry of Gunnerfan.
Naijagunner
Maybe he should really be "Gunnerfan89", for one :-)
Naijagunner
Thinking about it, he's technically correct. In 1989 Liverpool and Arsenal had exactly the same goal difference and the league was settled on goals scored :)
Rocky7
WHAT a mad day. Spain can keep Barca and Real, our Premier League is the most exciting. First it was United, then Citeh at the the death, then it was us for third, then Spuds, then US and first it was Bolton surviving, then QPR while pulling off a massive shock, then surviving anyway as a result of the result at stoke. MADNESS. Thank God it was alright-on-the-night for us though. Better season next year please for the Arsenal :)
julieloveshenry4ever
...and not forgetting Barton going on the rampage. *shakes head*
julieloveshenry4ever
Well well. Sorry, Gunnerfan1987 :-)
