Hodgson Names Walcott & The Ox In Euro Squad

Arsenal duo, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been named in Roy Hodgson`s squad for Euro 2012.

With the championships around a month away new England manager Roy Hodgson has chosen the pacey Arsenal pair to the competition.

Walcott is no stranger to the full England set-up, indeed Goran-Eriksonn controversially took him to the Euro 2008 tournament despite never having featured in a top flight game.

The Ox however will be making his maiden voyage towards his full international debut. Having performed brilliantly at under-21 level and then impressing in his first season at Arsenal.

Both players have fully earned their call ups and I`ll look forward to, hopefully, seeing them getting involved in the summer.

Good luck boys.

I guess Wenger's ploy (assuming it is that) to use the Ox sparingly, perhaps to take him off the National team radar, has not exactly paid off.

I thought Gibbs would of been nailed on.....? With Wilshire fit that would of been 4 in the England squad.

Yeah! Gibbs does deserve a shout. Well, maybe, the Manager has other plans for the team. It is the Olympics for Gibbs then, it will appear.

Gibbs was never gonna make it with the established Cole and Baines. Be silly to take 3 left backs.

Gibbs was never gonna make it cos, aside from that block that saved us third spot, he's been awful
