Yossi Loan Officially Comes To An Official End

Sunday morning not only signifies the 1st July, but the official opening of the transfer window.

There isn`t really that much significance with the date however a bunch of things we already knew become officially official, like the signings of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud, and lots of Arsenal players who went out on loan last season returning (presumably to clear out their lockers).

One of the officially official things that we already knew that will become officially official will be the ending of the loan signing of Yossi Benayoun.

We all knew this was happening, but Yossi had become a firm favourite amongst Arsenal fans, many of whom (myself included) would have liked him to stay, and the great man himself took to Twitter to thank the club and our fans for the time he spent at Arsenal.

"My loan spell with arsenal will be officially over tomorrow..I want to say again a big thanks to the fans and the club." He Tweeted.

"For the opportunity and the great support and I wish this club all the very best!"

It wasn`t just Yossi's professional performances that the Gooners warmed to, but also his personality and how he comes across as a very genuine human being.

I think I can speak for everyone in wishing him the best of luck with the rest of his career.

Fantastic contribution, and one that will be remembered, esp in the critical games during the final run-in. Hope he signs for a club where he plays every week.
