I've got to say that if you bought a shirt with "Park" on the back you deserve everthing you get.

Who even thought of handing the Number 9 to Park, in the first place? That's another coveted number and should be alloted thoughtfully. Glad that Wilshere got 10. A huge statement as to his place in the club.

Actually Rocky, if you bought a Park 9 or Wilshere 19 shirt from an official source you can return it for replacement for free, and Arsenal are giving the old-numbered shirts to 'worthy causes'. Personally, I've always thought picking a number was fine, but having somebody else's name on your shirt was kind of weird. The ephemeral nature of player loyalty these days makes it just plain dumb.

Don't do club shirts, never have done.Paying 50 ridge for a ***** poor quality nylon shirt doesn't float my boat. Yet paying a £1000 plus for a season tickets works.....go figure?!

The way I see it, this instantly takes away the pressure from Park and if he is honest to himself, he must have felt awkward carrying that number. He can use it to pace himself and grow with the club, gradually or seek newer pastures.

The numbers look good to me, except that I wish they (at least temporarily) retire the No. 9 shirt cos I'm so keen for Poldi to do well, unlike his numerous predecessors!
