Frimpong Returns To Action Against Coventry

If there is one thing that always feelings like it`s hampering our progression as a club it`s injuries.

Of course all clubs suffer from a similar problem however for Arsenal fans it feels like the injury gods have been giving us wedgies and stuffing us into lockers for far too long now, however maybe there`s light at the end of the tunnel.

After the fantastic news that Jack Wilshere has returned to training and is raring to go, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Emmanuel Frimpong, slightly ahead of Jack in his rehabilitation, will feature in the Carling Cup … Milk Cup … Coca Cola Cup … the whatever the f*** it is called now cup … match against Coventry tonight at The Grove.

"The good news is that Frimpong will be on the bench, and if possible, we will put him on," said Wenger

"It`s a big moment because he has suffered for a long time and has worked extremely hard, like Jack.

"Once you`re back, you want so much a chance to be involved. So I want to give him a chance to be involved at least. Physically Emmanuel has never been as fit as he is now. That should come out in the next two months.

"You need matches and certainly he will be involved when we play at West Brom with the under-21s. He`s a competitive boy and a fighter. Of course this type of player always wants to be involved."
