Arsenal - Sagna On The Comeback Trail

Long term absentee Bacary Sagna says he`s very happy to be on the comeback trail.

Bac has been out for five months after breaking his leg for the second time in a little over a year. The French right back has been working incredibly hard on his rehabilitation and made another step closer to first team action after featuring against Reading for the Under-21s on Monday passed.

Speaking with the club`s official website the sh*t-haired one said 'It is amazing to be back, I have been waiting for this moment for five month, this was my target: to come back and play, firstly for the Under 21 team. Everything went well and we won, so I am very happy."

'I have been working really hard. I spent some time in the rehab centre, then I came back and worked really hard with the fitness coach and the physios to be ready to play - and finally I have.

'When you have such a big injury once, you take it, but twice is hard. In my mind I was a bit sad, but the next day I was ready for the challenge, which was to come back stronger and I am in a good way today.'

'I don't have any target - my only aim is to be ready and bring what I can to my team, to give 100 per cent like always.'

Glad to have him get through the come-back game unscathed. Even more heart-warming is the fact that Jenkinson's form has softened the impact of his absence to the extent one could say he has hardly been missed. All the same, the competition for places can only be a good thing for the club. Interesting to see how Wenger makes the call for Bac to return to first team action at RB.

One defender back and another injured. Kos had to be helped off the pitch by two people after Ribery injury ing his knee in training :-(

Turns out Kos's injury isn't too serious phew.
