'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Yakety-Yak Jack Is (Nearly ) Back

After a quite sumptuous diplay against West Brom on Saturday, Arsene Wenger believes Jack Wilshere is nearly back to his best. A quite frightening prospect for opposing midfields given the man himself estimates himself to be '90%' of the way there.

Wilshere was laid up for 14 months with ankle and knee injuries but returned to the first team in October. Now after several games back in the fray, the Arsenal boss thinks Jack is ahead of schedule, 'This is the first time I see him very, very close to the player he is,' Wenger noted of his performance against West Brom.

'We have to see if he has no reaction. It was good to leave at home in midweek, to give him a breather from time to time.

'But when he plays at that level, and you are under the pressure we are under to win the games, it is difficult to leave him out.

'Jack analyses his game well and is very demanding with himself, he works hard in training.

'The surprising thing for me is that he is (ahead of schedule). I expected him to be back at his best next year, in February. He looks (almost back to his best) much earlier than I expected him to be.'

Jack is Back. Sounds like a good title for a move. Maybe our end of the year DVD? lol

Lol! When Wenger says ''But when he plays at that level, and you are under the pressure we are under to win the games, it is difficult to leave him out.", that's an ominous sign which says we will play him a lot. We will be under pressure to win every game and we do know Jack benefitted from the rest; which suggests this will be the right approach for his full rehab. It will be nice to see the manager keep to his own commitment to handle Jack with caution.

It's great to see him playing well again. Jack is one of the highlights of our squad and extremely dangerous when he's on his game.
