'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Happy New Year To Gooners Everywhere!

Vital Arsenal would like to wish all it`s members a very very Happy New Year.

The year of 2012 was pretty indifferent as far as football went for supporters of the mighty Arsenal, that`s not to say there weren`t some bright spots, indeed ramming 10 goals past Tottenham in only two games is one of the standout moments, but the big picture was a bit of the "same old same old".

There was, however, brief glimpses of what could be as Arsene Wenger made some marvellous acquisitions last summer, and despite losing Robin van Perise we`ve been banging the goals in.

Only last week the Arsenal gaffer claimed he`d be very busy in the transfer window, and maybe it`s just the new year spirit talking but I genuinely feel with two or three top class signings we can push on and finally break the trophy drought.

So with that, and a trip to Southampton, in mind, a very happy and prosperous new year to each and every Gooner.

It's been, proverbially, a year of ups and downs for the club. As we enter 2013, we have to remain hopeful of ending the drought, even if we have lost one likely source of achieving this in being knocked out of the Capital One cup. Our chances rest now with the FA cup, first and the CL (why not?). The way a couple of the teams above us are playing at the moment doesn't give one much to hope for a high position on the league table. It can still be a very good year if we make good purchases over the next two windows. Happy New year, Y'all!
