Wilshere: Success Can Breed Success

Jack Wilshere has joined the ranks of Arsenal players talking about the need to bag some silverware and seems to agree that the FA Cup represents our best chance to do that.

The young Englishman returned to action earlier this season after a lengthy lay-off due to some weird-arsed problem that seemed to go on forever, however the competitive midfielder is now looking to make up for lost time and win something for his club and ensuring The Gunners have a platform to build on for future success.

"When you finish a career, you look back and see how many trophies you have won so we all want them and we know how much the fans do too," he said speaking on the club`s official website.

"We`re all hungry for it and maybe if we get a trophy this year it can open the way for a few more. We`ve got a good crop of young players and experienced plays as well, such as Arteta and others.

"If we get a trophy this year or in the next couple of years we can really build something and be strong in the next few years.

"It`s easy to sit here and say that when we get that first trophy it`ll happen but we know how tough the FA Cup. We`re still in the Champions League, so we`re in a good position and we just need to make sure we get the results now."

Pure captain material.

Had to chuckle after Wenger's comment about building a home-grown core. Taking a leaf out of Ferguson's book finally?
