Frimpong Goes Cottaging

Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has joined Fulham on loan for the rest of the season. This marks Frimpong's third loan spell in the last twelve months, having had stints at Wolves and Charlton. Frimpong was part of Arsena's 2009 F.A. Youth Cup winning midfield along with Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere.

He made his first team debut in August 2011 with an impressive performance against Liverpool, but two cruciate ligament injuries in three years have enervated his progress. Fulham have suffered a big shortage in central midfield this season and Martin Jol has identified Frimpong as the man to plug the gap.

Frimpong joins Johan Djourou and Marouane Chamakh in leaving the club on a temporary basis in January.
