'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Blackburn At Home In The 5th Round

Theo Walcott`s late strike at The Amex yesterday has been rewarded with a home tie against Blackburn in the 5th round of the FA Cup.

In what has been a superb weekend`s football we`ve seen many big names topple (Spurs being the funniest of the bunch) and after our late late show yesterday the draw has been kind in seeing us at home to Blackburn Rovers.

I know many people would prefer a glamorous or more exciting tie, but I think this one is perfect for us. No-nonsense tie that should, SHOULD, be very routine.

Who cares for a "glamorous" or "more exciting" tie? Certainly not me. We need all the luck we can get with even the draws; once the stage is set, then we shall be willing to navigate one of the glamour ties. Thank you!

Nice draw. Shame about the Spuds.

I think it's perfect for us. Phew.

I was really hoping ManUre and City would draw each other. Still, Liverpool and Sp*rs out, mustn't be greedy.
FunGunner
Cup competitions are as much about the luck of the draw as anything else. As long as the boys remember that you can't rely on luck they should be ok.

Agreed Amos. This has felt like a good year for us so far. Swansea away was tricky but you can't have it all easy!

Have to say I agree with Rocky about the year/season having been good for us, so far. Bradford was a good tie by all standards, we just got unlucky with that. The CL draws were good too, at least for the group stages. Bayern may turn out to be a good tie as well. Only time will tell.
Naijagunner
Good draw, pleased with this. The FA Cup is our best chance of a trophy so any favours in the draw will be willingly accepted.
