'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Afobe To Feed the Lions

Arsenal youngster Benik Afobe has joined Championship club Millwall on loan until the end of the season. The emergency loan window opened in the Football League today and the South London club have taken advantage by snapping Afobe up on a 3 month loan deal. Afobe joined Bolton Wanderers on what was meant to be a season long loan deal last summer, but it was cut short after a fruitless period in which Afobe notched only 3 goals in 24 appearances.

Afobe is a graduate from Arsenal`s Hale End academy. He has previously taken in loan spells at Huddersfield Town and Reading. He joins on a youth loan and Lions boss Kenny Jackett was delighted to get his man, "Benik is the type of player who can play close to the centre-halves and play one-twos with those around him,' he said.

'If we can get him in the right system and playing on a regular basis he`ll be a superb addition for us.' Benik will wear the number 13 shirt and goes straight into Millwall`s squad against Blackpool tomorrow.
