Wenger: Contract Reports 'Completely Wrong.'
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger bristled angrily at the press this morning when asked about reports of a new contract being offered to him. The club have come in for a barrage of criticism since Saturday`s F.A. Cup exit at the hands of Blackburn Rovers. Reports in the Sun and Daily Telegraph this morning reported that the Arsenal board were set to offer Wenger a two year extension to his current deal, which ends in 2014.
When taken to task over the reports, in a tetchy press conference, Wenger said, "That is the wrong information.
'I've worked for 16 years in England and I think I deserve a bit more credit than wrong information with only one intention - to harm.
'If it's good information that comes from nowhere, it's alright. But this is the wrong information that comes from nowhere. It's completely wrong.'
