King Kolo Toure believes Arsenal`s young guns are ready to prove themselves in the Carling Cup final against all the odds.
Fans and pundits alike have doubted Arsenal would progress from round to round since they were drawn against Everton but every time Arsene`s men (and boys) have stood up to the task and come through.
'I knew we could do it when we played against Tottenham and the game went to extra time,' said Toure.
'We knew it would be really, really difficult but I saw Denilson play some great football, he was fighting for every ball and although I expected him to be tired he was really fit and doing his best. The whole team was fantastic.
'The character they showed at White Hart Lane proved they won't be intimidated on Sunday. Tottenham played a great game and we felt under pressure but we had a great response. Julio [Baptista] scored a fantastic goal and we finished the game strongly.
'As one of the senior players I didn't know if the young players would be tired or not but they weren't. They were focused and did a great job.
'They are really ready. You see them in training and they are focused. When they played Tottenham it was a tense game, very
difficult, but players like Denilson and Abou Diaby were absolutely fantastic.
'The young guys have amazed me this season. They are improving and they listen to the senior players. They have proved themselves.'
The biggest test of all awaits the likes of Denilson, Diaby and Walcott on Sunday as they go toe to toe with Chelsea`s superstars.
