Jenkinson: Swansea Win Has Gooners Buzzin'

Arsenal right back and current fan favourite, Carl Jenkinson, has spoken about the huge lift the win over Swansea has given the team.

The mighty Gunners bagged themselves an impressive 2-0 over Bayern Munich last Wednesday but it ultimately counted for naught after we were still eliminated from the competition, however inspired by the performance Jenks and his friends put on a similar display on Saturday and bagged themselves another 2 goals and another clean sheet.

This time the result was a massive one, especially after the not so mighty Tottenham lost their 3rd successive game at home to Fulham yesterday.

Jenkinson tells of how the dressing room was "buzzing" following the win.

'It`s a huge win. We were buzzing in the changing room because this is a hard place to come to and get a win. I`m delighted and so are the boys, and so we should be. We`ve come here and won 2-0."

'It`s not easy at Swansea. They`re a good team. They`re good on the ball. They can pass it and we`re over the moon with the win. It was thoroughly deserved."

'I think in patches we played really good football, especially towards the end. It was the sort of game where you have to dig in deep and show a lot of fight. We did that so I`m delighted.'

The win this weekend took us to within 4 points of Spurs with a game in hand and Tottenham have a massively tricky run coming up with 5 games in 14 days against Swansea, Basel (x2), Chelsea and Everton.

I really do feel the ball is in our court and if we keep it tight in our remaining games 4th place will be ours.

Feet on the ground, lads. Much as it is tempting to 'crow' like they do, let us allow the spuds, irretrievably, do their annual thing before we descend on them. You can't make up the story this will be!
