Denilson Could Be 1st Piece Of Deadwood To Go

Arsenal`s Denilson`s has been on loan at Sao Paulo for what seems like eternity, and now that loan could become a permanent deal.

Sao Paulo Vice-president Joao Paulo had this to say 'There are still more than 60 days left on his contract, so there are a couple of points to take into consideration.
'The first point is that we are interested in the player and the second point is that we must deal with this situation closer to the end of the deal.
'If we do it too early, it will end up costing us more money.'

If we can offload him that will be one of many who needs to hit the bricks this summer.

Next up Chamakh, Arshavin, Bendtner, Squillaci and . Is that it? I`m sure there`s more?

Diaby [I wish] , Santos, And whole lot of other also rans.

We won't be selling Diaby in the summer .... he won't be fit enough to sell.

If we are in for a keeper this summer, then Fabianski would be off. Johan Djourou is another who will fancy his chances in Germany. Denison has stayed away so long, he can't just return and fit right back in.

Anyone else be happy to cut our losses on Gervinho? I've lost faith in the boy...

It's hard to see how he can be any better next season, so it won't surprise me if he goes too.

Thanks for starting this mate! What about Park? Frimpong? Campbell?...What happened to Wellington? My memory is that most the players we want off the books: Arshavin, Bendtner & Squillaci are in their final year of their contract so will be leaving on a free.

We've been waiting for a mass clear out for 2 seasons now but reality dictates that will not happen in one window. This summer will see a few leaving - Arshavin & Squillaci are in the final year. Bendtner still has one more year, I think but Hamburg was interested. Denilson will go, of course - if we need to take a financial hit, then so be it. I would stick with Gervinho for another season - a good impact sub if nothing else, and he has the ability to have good games against lower table opposition.

I wouldn't be sad to see Gervinho, nor happy. But he is one player who we must replace if selling. We can get rid of Deinilson, Arshavin, Squillaci and Chamakh without giving it a second thought.

Too right R7! What we lack is genuine wide players. We have three CFs all with different qualities but two of them are our fist choice wide players. Unfortunately we can't expect anything from Ryo next year after the torrid injury issues he's had so either Gerv is kept or replaced. I'm happy with either.

Also we have (I think) the best No.10 in the PL, who is being forced to play as a good but not fantastic winger. As a result of this, our attacking dynamic is drastically reduced. We don't play with three rotating & interchanging No.10s as Chelsea do. The addition of someone like Isco (to play with Santi & Rosicky) would make that possible and that would give us a very different style of play.

I don't agree with you, N0 10. Cazorla does not play as a winger, he has more of a free roaming role. Rosicky & Cazorla inter change quite a bit, you can argue that Jack & Cazorla don't do that often, but that will come given some time. I'd love Isco, or even Cesc to come back.

When he plays as our CAM then he would roam all over the place but, with Jack or Rosicky in that position he does it far far less. Understandable because that position is the one to dictate those moves, so he is relying on Jack or Rosicky to roam...which they don't. Because of his two footedness he is best with options either side and in both directions in front. the whole team loses out when he is played out wide.
