'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Baptista - Cool Or Insane?

Without checking the statistics I reckon Julio 'The Beast' Baptista is the top scorer in this season's League cup competition, indeed he has scored more goals than most teams involved. He certainly has had an impact for Arsenal this season.

But after reading Baptista's latest interview I've had to ask myself this question.

Is the Beast the coolest man in football? Or is he insane?

In Baptista's latest interview he gave candid view's on what may happen tomorrow.

'In this campaign The Beast has done some mauling, but I am aiming to roar in the final with the cup in my hands'

Now referring to yourself in third person might be considered a little strange, but referring to yourself as 'The Beast'........

Cool or insane?

Definately Insane, and that's what I love about him! If we don't win win tomorrow then maybe we can get Baps to rip a cows carcass to pieces in front of our very eyes in some kind of ritualistic sacrilidge! Fun for the family! 8-)

Possibly eat the Chelsea mascot as an encore!
Rocky7
Roc, if he eats the mascot, who's gonna do supermarket sweep eh, eh? 8-)

if he scores tmrw cool! if he fu*ks up then insane! seriously though, either way he has certainly given me some happy memories this year in the CC>. As for calling himself the beast, i just wonder what he refers to his manhood as!??
kingdennis
Shivers down the spine. Shivers down the spine. I agree with Simmy...he's both!
ducksworth
He sounds a bit odd, but he has a mean character I think and I hope him, Toure, Ali or Theo score tomorrow. And Senderos too. Well that's 5 if all of them do. So 5-0, anyone?
G4L
hmm, always a bit worried about folk who refer to themselves in the third person perspective. At least, that's what Wingston reckons, anyway... »»Arsene Knows««

If we only get 3 chances today and score all 3 then we take the Cup! If the first goes in I dance, if the second goes in I dance and scream, if the third goes in then I dance and scream and leave the sheep alone! C'mon gringos, save my sheep! Heehee! Sorry guys the excitment is killing me!

HATEtheGOONS
Oh look, Hatethegoons is here, where were u after we beat you a couple of weeks ago?! if only your future were as bright as ours! sad man!

I'm so proud of the lads tonight! I'm also proud that loads of the Gunners fans stayed to applaud the team at the end! Class club, Class kids and Class fans! By the way, the Chelsea fans who decided to throw things at our players, you are the most despicable ****s in the universe!
flv
You have to be proud, It was a moral victory, today the 'kids' (hate that term!) became men, as for Drogba, man of the match, I thought Denilson was head and shoulders the best player on the park, but I understand why he was given the award. We didnt look quite as dangerous when Viera mk II left the field, overall, a proud proud gooner I am.
TR7
Who has ever been injured by a stalk of celery? Fabregas has surely seen the Pig's head footage in Spain. As for the beast, I say MEEEOOOWWW! All joking aside, well played Arsenal!

Oh lord help me to keep my gob shut .....
col8
i would of thought besides denilson or Diaby Cech was easily the MOTM. their whole team besides him and Drogba were *****e.
Ozi Gooner
Dunno Ozi, Robben carved us up a bit, but yeah in general their midfield were so pedestrian they should have had a lollypop lady on the side of the pitch.
nikolaijns
Tim refers to himself in the third person all the time (I actually do, to the point that I do it subconciously). The Tim says the Beast is definitley cool!
