Yankey Breaks Caps Record

Yankey Breaks Caps Record

Arsenal Ladies' winger Rachel Yankey this afternoon made history as she became the most capped England international of all time. Yankey captained England in a friendly against Japan at Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium, winning her her 126th cap for her country.

The landmark sees her overhaul Peter Shilton's 125 England caps to make her England's all time leading appearance maker. Yankey, 33, has been at Arsenal for a total of 12 years across two spells. She made her Arsenal debut aged 16 and collected her first England cap aged 20.

Congratulations to Rachel on her achievement.
