Arsenal Host Spurs in FA Cup 3rd Round

The FA took the rather bizarre steps of making the draw for the FA Cup 3rd shortly after Arsenal and Everton kicked off yesterday afternoon leaving Arsenal fans to find out mostly via Martin Tyler on Sky Sports or via text message from friends.

Of course by now we`ve all learned that the tie of the round is another tantalising North London derby as we host our neighbours from down the Seven Sisters in the new year.

Whilst NLDs are always an exciting affair, it`s a game I would much rather have waited to see in the latter stages of the competition.

Unless of course we win, in which case it`s an absolutely belting draw.

The game will kick off on Saturday January 4th at 5.15pm and will be live on ITV1,

I agree, would much rather this been later in the competition. With Manchester united away 3 days before, it will certainly be a test of our squad.

The FA Cup 3rd round is usually my favourite time of the footballing year. I'll be more nervous than excited about it this season. Terrible draw (again, unless we win in which case it will be fan********tastic)

This looks interesting and would be even more exciting when we win. COYG
