Match Discussion - Swansea (h)

Match Discussion - Swansea (h)

So I`m going to pretend we didn`t have a fixture last weekend as it got moved to this Tuesday night.

All is well and we`re only a potential 4 points of the top of the league and into the FA Cup semi-final. That doesn`t sound too bad does it?

Tuesday night our boys have the opportunity to atone for … well … nothing, because we didn`t play on Saturday. However they still need to put into a good solid performance and come away with 3 points to wipe away the memory of …. Nothing.

Will Arsene drop any players for … no reason? Can Giroud find the back of the net after not not missing a sitter? Will Gibbs stay on the pitch after not not receiving a red card that he should have not not not got?

Talk about all this confusing sh** and more in the Vital Arsenal match discussion thread that you can find by clicking here.

If we can't beat Swansea at home, what are we talking about Arsenal battling it out with Liverpool for 3rd spot ... And winning the title if we win all the remaining 8 games, plus points will be dropped by Liverpool, Chelski and Man City when they meet each other? Arsene Wenger will never change and we will be playing a high-line with all-out attacking plays leaving us exposed at the flanks ... and out-scoring Swansea. let's hope he is not hat daft again and thought Arteta is our very own "Makelele" and field 4-1-4-1 against Swansea.

If we don't take 3 points from the Swans then we will be in a real struggle for 4th place! Win on Tuesday and again on Saturday and you never know!

I think any real chance we had of winning the league went at the weekend. 8 wins from 8 will get us to 86 points which may be enough but does anyone see this team picking up max points at Everton and home to City? I don't.

Arsenal wins all 8 games. Liverpool loses to Tiny Totts Liverpool draws with Chelski and Man City Everton beats Man City Chelski, Man City and Liverpool drop points against lesser teams GG ... a pig just flew past my window! :D

To be honest, I can't see any of Chelsea and City dropping anything more than say 4 points, at the worst. With the way we are playing at the moment, it is unlikely we can win all 8 remaining games. But, stranger things have happened and what do I know? It is important the team finds it's way back to winning ways by taking the 3 points tomorrow. Anything less and confidence would go, even for the FA cup.

Merlion96, you don't just get trounced and go into the next game in an all- out attacking mode; if anything, the side is likely to be timid against Swansea given the fragile state of the nerves. We may just play with the hand brakes on and look to get a the win with a single goal. I will take that too.
