He's Not Coming Bac

He's Not Coming Bac

Arsenal right back, Bacary Sagna will join Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of the month.

The French defender, who has been at Arsenal since 2007, decided not to renew his contract despite Arsenal`s best efforts to get him to resign.

It`s long been muted that Sagna would leave after becoming unhappy at Arsenal`s inability to win silverware. Ironically, his last game for the Gunners was Arsenal`s 3-2 victory over Hull City in the FA Cup final.

I would say that we should wish Bac all the best as he was a great servant to the club, but as he`s going to Man City I can`t do that, instead I`ll just say "Thanks".

A 3 year contract for a player at a reported £150k a week who'll be on the way to 35 by the time it ends makes sense for the player. How much sense it makes for City I'm not too sure but their current wages budget probably makes it easier than their transfer budget. A very good player for us but replaceable now you'd have thought.

I do hope Carl Jenkinson will be given a fair shake --- to stake a claim.

He's been a good servant for the club, giving his all to his last game, knowing he was likely to leave. He does deserve such a significant pay rise (if it is indeed that much), coming from a club that appears to have money to throw around. I still don't understand it, except from the fact he is on a Free because they have Zabaletta.

No sour grapes from us at all fifth. Most gooners are pleased to see him collect a decent pension taking advantage of City's need to deal with FFP. City pay Sagna over the odds for a while maybe get some cash for Micah Richards to help balance the books and try to cope as best they can as the door to the vault slowly closes.

OT. Of course, we need to see how he handles it for the next few games but is Joel Campbell the real deal or what? I think Wenger has a gem on his hands and the best time to bring him in is Now!

To be fair, the youngsters at the 2014 World Cup are playing without fear and doing well. Sterling, Lalana, Barkely, Aurier, Blind,....the lot of them.
