'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Arsenal Captain - 'I Don't Know Where I Will Play'

Arsenal`s captain, Thomas Vermaelen has admitted that he`s unsure if he will be an Arsenal player in the new season.

Vermaelen had been left out in the cold for much of last season after Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker formed a formidable partnership that left them both almost un-droppable.

The tough tackling (but somewhat error-prone) Belgian was left on the outside looking in, and now following his nation`s exit from the World Cup has to work out what his next move maybe.

'I really do not know where I will play, Arsenal or elsewhere next season. All my attention went to the World Cup. I will see when I talk with Arsenal.' Said the Verminator.

Manchester United are reported to be interested in signing him.

we always sell our captains, so you know you are next on the list when you captained for the club :)

I see Djourou is still on the books at present!
Amos.
I would prefer itif we kept Thomas but can understand if he wants to leave. Must be gutting being club captain and rarely playing.

He's still good enough to start for most teams outside the top 4 (in England and any other big league) so for his career he should probably leave. Preferably somewhere on the continent.

Have to say I agree with Elbondo. The club captain should be playing, leading on the field. It isn't an ideal situation he is in and won't begrudge him his move, if he makes it.
