Wenger: Show Some Respect

Wenger: Show Some Respect

Arsene Wenger has demanded that Arsenal be treated with more respect after stats revealing that Arsenal have a higher yellow card to foul ratio than any other Premiership club.

Wenger`s latest outburst comes after Arsenal`s harsh treatment by the FA following the Carling Cup brawl.

The disturbance in the last couple of minutes of the cup final, started by Chelsea's Jon Obi Mikel has resulted in 3 Arsenal players serving a 3-match ban, 1 Chelsea player serving a 4 match ban and both clubs have been charged for failing to control their players.

Speaking ahead of Saturday`s Premiership match with Reading Wenger said: 'It is regrettable that it punished the club.

'The club deserves more respect than that, it is undeserved.

'We are guided to win, we love to be fair, but to be treated like we have in this case is not acceptable.

'We want to focus on our desire to play football. I have got many calls from people abroad who can't believe what happened.

'We commit the lowest fouls in the league but we are the most punished

'We are entitled to get the same treatment as everybody else.'

It's not the quantity of fouls its the dirtiness of them!

you mean like when robben or dogba dive all over the pitch Merlin ? arsenal are certainly not a dirty team, i can think of a few out there that are far more physical than us, and chelsea is deffo one of them ! fatty frank is a really dirty player and cries when he doesn't get things his own way, more so he is sly with it too, like looking to see if the ref is watching before he uses two feet.

the trick is to knock out 5 or 6 fouls early doors, then the ref will show a yellow to calm it down, then we can continue to foul all over the place at a steady rate without fear of more yellows instead what we do is try not to foul, so when we do its rare (as you can see from the stats) and the ref is suprised to see it, brandishing a yellow

Yes clean ones like Pedersen's sly stamp on Eboue's ankle in the first three minutes of the game on wednesday. Of course the injury finally caused him to come off and senderos move to right back but hey thats good old english Football, Eboue should be grateful.

Merlin you really are an ars$hole. Did you see the Carling Cup? Your people, especially Diarra and Essien were pulling our players down left right and centre and going unpunished, I may add. Get your facts right or shut it!

The cheek of a chelski fan to come on here and say we're dirty. Hmmm lets think about that one. Robben and Drogba - up there with Ronaldo as the worst divers in the Prem now horseface has gone (though I will admit Drogba is improved on that). Then we have Essien - the perpetrator of some of the worst and most dangerous fouls in the Prem most recently with the Beast (and I han't remember him getting punished as much as he should for them). Makelele and Carvalho are two of the slyest most cynical players there are. Call it experience if you want, i'll call it filth. I know we've got Eboue and he is just as bad in the diving stakes but he gets lambasted by us Gooners. I think chelski fans cherish the dirt

There truly is only one Arsene Wenger, i have total admiration for the stand he is taking on this, its high time someone stood up and did something, it cannot go on like it has been doing.
