The Actim Index, the Official Player Ratings of the Barclays Premiership and Coca-Cola Championship, ranks players using Actim Stats according to their performance, both by position and overall.

It is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player`s contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards. Two additional calculations, which take account of player assists and goalkeeper`s clean sheets, have been added for the new season to increase the amount of variables a player is now measured by.

The Premiership Actim Index was developed in partnership with statisticians from Salford University, one of the UK`s leading centres for sports statistics. The ratings are collated by PA Sport on behalf of The FA Premier League and The Football League.

The list of the Top 100 players and Top 5 players by position will be available free of charge from the Actim website: www.pa-sport.com/en/products/actim-statistics.html

which will be updated during the football season every Tuesday for the Barclays Premiership and every Thursday for The Coca-Cola Championship.

Suits us well, fabregas does suit that best, but what I found most intresting apart from that is that in the top 5 we have the most players which doesr further enhance Arsenal's passing style reputation.

I wish Hleb would shoot more often instead of pass it in the 18yrd box. This list is not a trophy.
MeetTheGunners
U sure about that, his shots always seem to find the corner flag. And csec's don't find empty nets. Passing is great & all, but i really think arsene needs to find some midfielders that can score. It's very sad that gilberto is our leading midfield golscorer.

Hleb has had so many opportunities in front of goal but for some reason has chosen to be unselfish. He is a great on the ball id just like to seen him get into the habit of bangin one from the edge of the box every so often. True, he doesnt have a hammer for a left peg like RvP but our desire to walk the ball into the net is so frustrating at times. Rosicky is meant to be our goal scoring midfielder and he does tend to shoot more often than Hleb. We have certainly missed goals from Freddie and Pires this season. Gilbo has ben gettin himself in the right places but a lot of his goals are from the spot. Fabregas is getting forward more and can hit it well but always seems to pick out the keeper. Personally i cant wait till one of Toure's 35yrd efforts flies in.

easy to see the reason why Arsenal fans say fabregas has lampard in his pocket

Fabregas is awesome. his passing is immaculate and when he starts scoring some goals, which he is more than capable of, he will further his reputation more as one of the best midfielders in the world. Future world player of the year?
Aussie Gooner
yea MTG, if he keeps at it one of them is bound to get in and when that happens i' m a go crazy and what a goal it'll be.
Youngest in Charge
It takes time for the goal-scoring to start for young midfielders. Ronaldo hasn't scored much in the previous seasons either. Cesc will definitely come good. Rosicky has only played in the premiership for 7 months, there's more in him as well.

Yo gooners all, I am a PhD student and am doing a PhD on the tribaility of blogging/posting. I am using a neo-Marxist constructivist paradigm that looks at the networking and societal blending that occurs as a aresult of epistemic community building on the Internet. Can I ask you gooners some questions? How long has the Spurs-Arsenal emnity thing been going on for? Do you think that Spurs will ever replace Arsenal as the premier club in North London? When did you first realise that Wenger is a flasher? When did you first realise that Wenger is actually from France (no, he is not a Londoner with a strange accent)? Could you not find it in your hearts to love Spurs? When did you realise that Henry is crap/ Well, he is now. He's injured.
