'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Colorado Feeling Plush

Colorado Rapids managing director, and Arsenal fan, Jeff Plush has hailed his club's partnership with Arsenal.

The two clubs agreed a technical partnership last month that would benefit both clubs. Arsenal will fund a centre of excellence in America to help train up and coming players. Arsenal will get a foothold in America and build the Arsenal brnad in The States.

The MD's of both clubs hailed the partnership last month but Mr. Plush has again expressed his delight.

'We can give them a beach-head in the United States,' said Plush.

'We are establishing the Arsenal Centre of Excellence at our property - and that will be attractive to kids from all over the United States, who will want to come and train in the Arsenal way.

'It gives them an advocate for their brand in the United States, which would be hard to manage by yourselves from London.

'We can certainly give to Arsenal some of our expertise in sports marketing - we own five teams, a television network and four venues.

'With them, we are frankly a more credible football club than we were.'
