Bendtner Will Come Home

Young Danish striker, Nicklas Bendtner will return to Arsenal at the end of the season and be given the chance to fight for a first team spot.

Wenger revealed he has already spoken to Bendtner about his current situation and he is more than happy about being a Gooner.

'He will come back and challenge for a first team place next season," said Wenger.

"I've spoken to him about that. He is 18, strong and has a big future. He knows we want him back and he's happy about that.'

'There is a lot of competition, a lot of good young players but if they are good enough then they will come through.'

Bendtner ruffled a few feathers early in the season with a few silly 'I want' or 'I am' comments which didn't go down to well, but now the highly rated player is making all the right noises after telling of his desire to fight for a spot amongst a team of first class players.

With the strikers we have plus Bendtner the money would be better spent on a top class goalkeeper!
Emkay
or an out an out winger.

I think Aliadiere should be coverted to a winger a la Wiltord. He is quick and his vision is good. If we look at the number of assists he contributed given his limited first team appearance, it is very encouraging. He tendency of drifting to the flanks and cut a low cross back to the middle shows that he should have no problem accommodating the new position. What's more, he started out as a striker and I am sure naturally he has the predator instinct in him. A couple of goalscoring wingers may complete our puzzle. It would be ashame if he falls behind the pecking order leave us eventually.

Joe, absolutely !! I was thinking the same thing. I like what I've seen of Ali so far, and it would be a shame if he left. He can back up Freddie on the left, and he looked good against Villa.

Bendtner HAS been making the right noises of late, and thats good. Im sure he will get a run in the carling cup team next season, and then later, depending upon form and fitness of our main strikers, may or may not get a look-in. He will be 4th or 5th choice, and i dont know how long he will put up with that.

i really don't want ali to leave us. and the idea of converting him into a winger is really appealing. he needs to work on the defensive side of his game and he can certainly be more useful than Freddie and Theo on the wings..

i think this paves the way for us to get buffon, since we dont need to buy newhere else.....I remeber reading somewhere that living in london appealed to buffon. Well do we need to say more..go get him arsene
karley
I said the same exact thing the other day Joe! He may not have quite the finishing to be a first choice striker (tho he still may grow into that) but he clearly has the pace and trickery to be a good winger for us. And if he brings a bit of that nose for goal out onto the wings, he might very well be our own home grown answer to a Ribery.

If everyone thinks a like, then we have reached a consensus to convert Ali into a winger. Anyone has any idea how we could send this proposal to Le Boss? :)

Lets hope he can make an impact next season...though we need to remember he is only 19 and we cant really expect him to set the premiership on fire.
