Lacazette - I'm Here To Win The Premier League

Having completed his club record transfer this week Alexandre Lacazette said his 'dream has been fulfilled' in joining Arsenal - he's joined the Gunners from Lyon to win titles too.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was the man Lacazette looked up to when growing up in France and he's happy to follow in his footsteps and the likes of fellow forwards Nicolas Anelka, Sylvain Wiltord and Olivier Giroud in coming to North London.

He said he would always give everything he has to prove himself worthy of the shirt but hasn't come to the Emirates Stadium to fulfil that dream alone, he's done so in order to win the Premier League and other silverware.

Lacazette told the Official Website: 'I want to give one hundred per cent in every match. I want to show I'm worthy of the shirt. I want to do everything I can to make sure we win titles. I am, of course, delighted and very proud too because Arsenal is a legendary club. Throughout my childhood, thanks to Thierry Henry and other French players, I always dreamed of playing for this club so today that dream has been fulfilled.'

If Lacazette can replicate his goalscoring exploits of last season, scoring 37 goals in all competitions for Lyon, Arsenal will certainly have a chance of pushing for trophies this season.

That being said Arsene Wenger will still have to bring in a few top quality players and retain those already with the Gunners. You know, Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain etc.

Wenger and the French nucleus at Arsenal appealed to Lacazette, 26.

He added: 'The fact that the manager has been here for a while shows that it is a stable club which I like. In addition there are quite a few French players here, which makes it easier to settle in. In my opinion, Arsenal is also the club that plays the best football in England so I really wanted to come here.'

Arsenal fans should get a first glimpse of the French international during the friendlies against Sydney and Western Sydney Warriors in Australia followed up with a spell in China when Bayern Munich and Chelsea will be faced.
