'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spurs Up, Arsenal Stay The Same

Of course the article title has nothing to do with the technical footballing abilities of the respective teams and everything to do with season ticket prices.

The Sun newspaper, for all it's faults (which is everything apart from the knorks) is waging war against the price of match tickets for the football in this country, with a 'cut the cost' campaign that came to light after it was revealed that Premiership clubs would pocket a small fortune after the PL sold the oversea's tv rights for a massive mark up.

Arsenal are the latest team to freeze their ticket prices, and for the third season running too.

Keith Edelman explains, 'We are delighted that our ticket prices will be frozen for next season,'

'We have regular consultation with our supporters and ticket prices are always mentioned as a key concern.'

'Therefore, we are proud that our prices have now remained constant for three seasons and have also stayed in line with those at Highbury, even though our new home is a world-class venue offering our supporters an enviable range of new facilities.'

Despite a number of clubs such as Arsenal, Bolton, Blackburn, Chelsea etc etc all freezing or lowering their ticket prices, Tottenham, a club with one of the highest ticket prices in the league have not only refused to lower their ticket prices, but actually increased the rate.

Greedy mo fo's.

"Greedy mo fo's." LOL, Rocky.
what does mo fo's stand for anyway? :P
Dear Editor... i don't want to sound like a broken record, but you should note these rises are of course offset by Spurs' record-breaking donations to charity over the last year.
oh, lovely asses in the pic btw...
Noted Andy, I retract every negative article published on this site in honour of their great work for charridy!!
I wish I had an 'arris' like one of those above; I would stay in at nights with a mirror!
I suppose it's good news for you guys. For me I am still trying to work out how best to travel nearly 7,000 miles just to watch a game at the emirates.
Can I suggest an aeroplane?
At the very least a ship.
Anything less and I fear you will struggle.
I know that Rocky. But there's no easyjet for 99 quid around here.
Travelling out on friday night and jump on the plane right after the game so that I can return to work by monday. I guess British Rail super saver is out of the question.
Get in, 1,700 again next season. A snip!

Sit somewhere else LD. Behind the goal in the southstand, you can help me start some songs!!
dont mind me boys, just feeling sooooo excited about my team. startin to look good, sooooo good...
They don't sell season tickets in the South. Plus, I've got a top seat, frig all atmos, but front row, upper, bang in the middle of the row so nobody walks past while the game is on. It was the great Peter Griffin who said, "freakin' sweet!"
Little Dutch
Erm PS; when did they rule before? Huddersfield town have "ruled" more than you lot!
"dont mind me boys, just feeling sooooo excited about my team. startin to look good, sooooo good..." Cosmic Pete? Is that you? Finally managed to stop staring at the kitchen wallpaper did you?

It's scandalous - shame on Spurs!
HK_GUNNER if you do come to england from hong kong could you bring me some airsoft stuff? lol
fran merida
v nice arse in the pic
how much is a season ticket there its 347 at the people club that is everton
I'm sure you consider them good value for money Moyes! Powerspur, what is mighty about a team that won the second of their TWO (count 'em) titles 46 years ago? We've won that many titles at the Lane on colour TV. You may have seen us celebrating them! Heh!
i doubt he'll show up again after that northw
no need to diminish the poor soul's spirits northwilts... he sounded so too!! ... just let reality kick him in the balls hehe!
Who wants to bet spurs get the Boro treatment from Sevilla?
Ozi Gooner
985 for me. Under a grand and I can justify it to H.I.D.
1,740 for me. Probably why I've recently become single.........

infact i was at a charridy sports quiz last night, and on the table right next to me was Daniel Levy... now forgetting who is he spurs chairman, but he is a horrible little man, very jealous of all thats around him.. that boy has a big chip on his shoulder, and he beedy little eyes ... he was mouthing off, especially when frank mclintock got up to speak after dinner, the boy has no class and in the Q&A section, ask frank, if Barbie is better than henry considering Henry's season and should Henry have gone to barce and arsenal cashed in ! the effin cheek, i wanted to him the git !
Puregold, it's only to be expected from a small club! Have you seen the Forbes most valuable clubs list on the BBC today? Tottenham are even behind Newcastle - it's a wonder we even talk with them :-)
Its funny you could sell the Sun for a pennt .. But I would not read it or buy it .. But would pay an extra fiver to see the lillywhites.. Get over it.. May be if they link prices at the scum to DDS payment increases it would be a fair outcome
Irrespective of club ranking cusop, one of us must be a bit dyslexic because I don't understand what you are on about... back on topic, I can't believe that even the scum in blue outrank you by 6 positions... shame on you.
cusop, are you illiterate?
I'd have thought The Sun would be a good paper for you to buy actually (lots of pretty pictures).
the boro treatment from sevilla will never make up for the arsenal treatment by eindhoven!!!!!!!! He he he!!!!!!
andybayor - and why shouldn't you talk to us? after all, it's not as if you in the league of teams like liverpool, manu, forest and villa, who have all won the CL. Alas, you did come close, but that doesn't count does it? So I guess you stuck with talking with us, unless you improve...quite drastically that is, but I wont bet money on that happenning too soon. bet you wish you won against barca when you had the chance, hey andy bayor? regret always comes too late, shame. and now you stuck in the same grouping as the mighty spurs. not a bad place to be though, come to think of it. so make yourself comfortable, you still gonna be grouped with us for a long, long time, judging from arsene's performance in the CL. and who knows should mj get there, he might just have better luck than arsene, and VIOLA!!!!! spurs jump a notch higher than the gooners and we become fussy as to who we share our company with!!!!!
come on powerspur we're not that proud - it was in jest! I'd never turn down the chance to talk with anyone... especially in this case, because we need to have a serious talk about things like arsenal being "in the same grouping as the mighty Spurs"... now i'm not that hot on stats, but if you can explain how you reached this fanciful conclusion (in a coherent manner) I will bow down to you ;-)
and yes, I would accept your going back over the last 100 years to explain this mystery
I'll help you get started... you can count on one hand the number of times Spurs topped the league, where as you would need three hands to count the Championships the Gunners took! Ok, i'm done gloating now ;-)
I must find myself amazingly agreeing with the general opinion that Wenger"s lot are great to watch.I quite agree, the sight of Arsenil"s defence resembling Christian Gross"s Tottenham, players that cant score a goal for toffee & seem more intrested in scoring with high class call girls & Wenger pulling his hair out & snapping pens in frustration is indeed quality entertainment...!!Things are not looking as clever now hey?Failing to qualify for the Champs Lge reguarly will leave you crippled in debt.Confident of managing that are we?The truth is that you should of been turfed out of the top 4 last season by us,lose at WHL in April & you may find yourselves in the "best of the rest" group sooner than expected, the group they should be in anyway..!!You are going backwards rapidly & whats more you know it..!!
Indeed, I just put the phone down to Arsene who confirmed that on the basis of one really poor performance, we will reach no higher than 10th place next year, and this will be rapidly followed by our financial meltdown.
